Zechini Red Arrow 2 Children's Board Book Machine

Red Arrow 2 by Zechini is an automatic machine for the production of cardboard book blocks. Such book blocks are usually used for the production of pre-school children's books. Book blocks consist of four-page signatures glued together back to back. They may feature die-cut windows, jigsaw puzzles, die-cut moving figures, and gadgets. Red Arrow 2 works with printed spreads, which must previously be created (or kiss-cut, in cases of thick board) at the page's middle. The machine's modular structure allows high personalization and versatility. It is also possible to add units later, such as additional feeders (up to a total of 12), a spacer feeder, and/or a book block feeder. This revolutionary machine is a must-have for producing high-quality children's books.

Up to 13 Sheet Feeders

Non-stop feeding of up to 12 non-folded sheets:

• Paperboard sheets creased in the middle
• Paperboard sheets with die cut windows or pop-up
• Board sheets with die cut puzzles

Folding Station

One of the most compact folding stations on the market. With it's plough fold and simple set-up, this folding station can handle a wide range of sizes. Subsequently, the signatures are calendered on the fold line to flatten the back.

Spacer Feeder

The spacer (reinforcing board) feeder inserts boards in empty spaces between the signatures in order to increase the book thickness and/or to provide a printered background for packages containing puzzles or windows.

Cold Glue Application

One gluing unit with programmable nozzles is sufficient for the whole machine. Dedicated software enables simple and intuitive programming of the gluing pattern, which can even be different for every sheet of the book.

All gluing programs may be saved and called up in a few minutes.

Book Block Feeder

The book block feeding station is used when the book is composed of more signatures than the number of the feeders, with which the machine is equipped. The total book block assembly is being done in two steps, combining the new signatures with the one previously made.
